Pete Doherty Arriving For Babyshambles Gig At Koko

Pete Doherty didn’t look well as he arrived as Koko nightclub in London, England on Wednesday (February 17), where he was scheduled to perform with his band Babyshambles. Pictures of the singer getting kissed by adoring fans upon exit from the club at have since been removed.

Pete Doherty Fined For Bringing Heroine Into Court

Pete Doherty was in court on Wednesday to plead guilty to possessing heroine during a court appearance on December 21st. The Babyshambles frontman insisted he didn’t know the heroin was there and was fined £750 with £1,000 costs. It was Doherty’s 22nd drugs conviction.

His lawyer Bruce Clark told District Judge Joti Boparai: “He was in a rush to get to court. He was handed a coat and he didn’t check the pockets. He feels very stupid. This was no mickey-take, it was a mistake.”

Pete Doherty Apologizes For “Ueber Alles” German Anthem Verse

British rocker Pete Doherty apologized after offending crowds at a gig in Munich, Germany. The Babyshambles frontman performed the German national anthem, but included the verse “Deutschland, Deutschland ueber alles”, which translates to “Germany, Germany above everything”, bringing out boos from the crowd.

Doherty’s spokesperson said the guitarist was “unaware of the controversy” surrounding the verse. “[Doherty] deeply apologizes if he has caused any offence,” the spokesperson said. “Pete himself is from Jewish descent and has fought against racism and fascism with numerous organizations. This is a subject he feels very strongly about.” Doherty’s grandfather on his mother’s side was Jewish.
