They discussed how the crowds in Australia compare to the UK, what they’ve been doing Down Under after gigs, nabbing 5 NME nominations, the Australian bands Tom likes, his take on the Oasis split, and plans to record a new album later this year. Behind the scenes footage with Kasabian on their Alice in Wonderland themed cover shoot for NME in east London has been posted online. “I think you have three ways, you can either join the club and kind of sound like U2, which there’s nothing wrong with that,” guitarist Sergio Pizzorno explained in the video. “You can do that, or you can sort of bomb, miserably fail, or you can be yourselves.” Watch the footage below.
Tom Meighan and Sergio Pizzorno of Kasabian talked to NME ahead of their London show at Camden Crawl on Saturday (April 25). The guys discussed the show and finishing up their third studio album ‘The West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’. “It’s kind of a real modern, psychodelic rock record I suppose,” Sergio said. “It’s kind of how it sounds.
