Time Off magazine caught up with Jet’s Nic Cester, asking the frontman if the band felt pressure writing the follow-up to their 2006 sophomore album ‘Shine On’. “We were way more relaxed than we ever have been,” Cester said of the writing process. “I guess the biggest difference was just everyone was really excited and relaxed to be working together again and writing music together. There’s an excitement that exists amongst us right now that hasn’t really been a part of what we do for a few years. It’s just fun again.”

Jet and Iggy Pop are out with the music video for their new single ‘Wild One’, which serves as the 50th anniversary version of Australia’s first rock hit, Johnny O’Keefe’s ‘The Wild One’. “My introduction to Johnny O’Keefe came through Iggy Pop covering his song The Wild One,” Jet frontman Nic Cester tells The Age. “Although I don’t think we have been directly influenced by Johnny O’Keefe, the ripples that he created are enormous. If the only thing that comes of this is just alerting other Australians that this existed,that’s a good thing.” Watch the video below.
