Green Day are among the music acts fans can vote to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. Tre Cool, Mike Dirnt and Billie Joe Armstrong talked about being on the cover now and in the past. “My older sister got Rolling Stone for years,” Billie Joe said. “It was the first time I ever got to read articles and see the bands, bands that I liked, different artists that I had no idea about before and introduced me to new stuff. So the first time seeing myself on the cover was shocking and kind of one of the biggest thrills of my life at that point.” Watch the feature via YouTube below.
AFI announced they will hit the road supporting Green Day for a late summer tour beginning August 3rd, the first time the two bands from northern California have toured together. AFI has been touring in support of their recent release, ‘Crash Love’, and will also be headlining Bamboozle Left this coming Saturday (March 27) in Anaheim, California.
