Keith Carman of Chart Attack caught up with Datsuns bassist Dolf de Datsun, who says the New Zealand band isn’t some overnight sensation. “I’ve been playing with these guys for the past seven years, four of which we’ve been doing rock ‘n’ roll. We’re not an overnight sensation,” he said. “We’re not trying to get some major point across on this album, but at the same time, when a band is hyped up, it doesn’t seem like anyone gets the real point. I want people to understand us on a certain level, but then again, if they just wanna shake their ass, that’s fine. If they don’t like our next album, fine. If our label is too big for them, fine. I write music for me.” Chartattack.com has since removed the article.
