Yeah Yeah Yeahs: We’re Not Doing Coke With P. Diddy

Stuart Berman of the Toronto Eye caught up with Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ singer Karen O. who says despite the band’s big buzz, they don’t feel like they’re “famous”. Karen says, “I’m always surprised how sheltered we are. We get calls from press people all the time asking us, ‘What does it feel like to be famous?’ And we’re like, ‘What?’ We’re totally, totally confused, because I think we all live really low-key lives. We’re not tapped into the whole fame thing, we’re not hanging out doing coke with P. Diddy.”
