Greg Kot of Metromix.com reviewed the Yeah Yeah Yeahs set Wednesday at the sold-out Metro in Chicago. He writes, “If the band hopes to hold its audience or even expand it over the next few years, it may need a few more weapons, if only to keep pace with Karen O. But that hardly seems a major concern. Whether bands like the Strokes, White Stripes, Hives and Yeah Yeah Yeahs who are stoking the current rock revival have any staying power is still in question. But for now, they’re just plain fun to watch. As presaged by ‘Our Time,’ the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have met the moment, and they’re too busy enjoying it to hear the clock ticking.” Metromix.chicagotribune.com has since removed the article.
