Why Bloc Party Toured (Briefly) With Panic! At The Disco
When CityBeat asked Bloc Party bassist Gordon Moakes about the band’s recent tour with young Panic! At The Disco, he was quick to bring up that the tour, cut short due to drummer Mat Tong’s hospitalization with a collapsed lung, was the doings of Atlantic Records. “I think the idea is that we could reach a lot of teenagers who are just starting to get to know music,” he explained, “and playing in front of those kids would be interesting.”
