White Stripes Live Out Their Rock-And-Roll Fantasy

Joseph Patel of the Boston Phoenix reviewed the White Stripes new album ‘Elephant’, declaring that the group “live up to their image – and then some.” Patel states, “‘Elephant’ does nothing less than feed the dream that inspires every kid who’s ever picked up a guitar with rock stardom on his or her mind. It’s a rock-and-roll fantasy where innocence and ambition mix potently. And if on past albums Jack White played up the innocence of just being a boy strumming his Jimmy Page air guitar in his bedroom mirror, then ‘Elephant’ is the proof that he really wanted to be Jimmy Page all along.” The full review at BostonPhoenix.com has since been removed.
