White Stripes ‘Elephant’ On Pace For 100k Opener

HitsDailyDouble.com says early reports from national accounts have the White Stripes being the biggest debut on next week’s album chart, whose new effort, ‘Elephant’, appears headed for a first week of sales in the neighborhood of 100,000 and a Top 10 chart debut. Their last album, 2002’s ‘White Blood Cells’, sold only 2,000 units in its first week and has sold about 650,000 to date.
