Malcolm X Abram of the Beacon Journal reviewed the latest effort from the White Stripes. He writes, “‘Elephant’ continues the group’s sparkling reputation by also being a damn good record. Any fans hoping for more variations on ‘White Blood Cells’ breakout single, ‘Fell in Love With a Girl’, will be disappointed, although a few tracks such as ‘Black Math’, ‘Hypnotize’ and ‘You Have No Faith In Medicine’ groove with a similar garage-punk vibe. But ‘Elephant’s triumph is Jack White’s growing songwriting talent, which takes front and center as he delivers a stylistically varied, and more importantly, good set of songs.” Ohio.com has since removed the article.
