Launch.com caught up with Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin and asked the singer about Fred Durst, the manufactured band criticism, trouble with women, and criticism that the group is a Nirvana wannabe. On the latter subject, Wes responds, “How do I feel about being compared to Nirvana? That was one of the greatest bands in the whole world and it’s a total bummer that Kurt Cobain is dead, so to be compared to him is an honor. It’s a total bummer that he’s gone. I wish he was still here, actually.” The entire interview at Launch.com has since been removed.
