Colleen Sullivan of the Daily Collegian was on hand at the Weezer show at the Pennsylvania State University Bryce Jordan Center on Tuesday and again noted the band’s difficulty in trying to play their brand of music in an arena setting. Sullivan said, “Weezer is not meant to play at a large, arena-type venue. Their performances are personal and need to be performed in a space that provides that type of atmosphere. There were too many empty seats and too big an empty space between where the floor seating ended and the upper-level seating began.” Still, she said their set improved as the show went on saying, “They created a dream world for the lighter-swaying audience.” Uwiretoday.com has since removed the article.
