U2’s Bono Featured On 60 Minutes II
In case you missed tonight’s 60 Minutes II, the show’s official website has a transcript of their chat with the U2 frontman they profiled along with the band Wednesday night. They profiled his longtime struggle to get top nations to relieve the debt of the poorer ones, who are hopelessly straddled with paying interest off debts. Bono said, “They’re never even getting near the principle….It’s simply wrong,” and warned, “Poverty leads to instability and war, which is bad for everybody.” Cbsnews.com has since removed the transcript.
