Twisted Sister guitarist Jay Jay French has posted the following message regarding the band’s recently completed European mini-tour: “We want to thank all of our new fans in Spain for the amazing response that you gave us following our show with the Scorpions in Granada. The reviews have been just as amazing.”
“As far as the UK was concerned, nothing prepared us for the outpouring of the love that we were shown. Our fans absolutely lived up to the reputation as some of the most dedicated people on earth. We had not played the Midlands in 21 years and yet almost 30,000 fans came to the show in Donington. The final song with Brian Johnson of AC/DC was the AC/DC song ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’. It tore the house down and it was one of the most fun events in our 30-year career.
“The next night at the Astoria in London will go down as one of the greatest nights in our history.
“We told the crowd that England saved us once before from ending our careers in 1981 when we were signed to Secret Records in London. The vibe has not changed since that time. In fact, it is stronger than ever. THANK YOU ENGLAND AND ALL OF THE FANS WHO TRAVELED FROM 15 OTHER COUNTRIES FOR WELCOMING US BACK.”
