It looks like Travis might have been inspired by the animal costumes that feature on stage during the Flaming Lips’ gigs when it comes to their appearance at the MTV European Music Awards on Thursday. “Black squirrels. We’ve shipped them over from Canada especially. They’re just brilliant. Tiny wee dancers!,” the band sai.d “There are no black squirrels – cos that’ll go on Radio 1 won’t it? ‘Travis have got black squirrels on stage – what does this mean?'”
