Australia’s Beat magazine caught up with Josh Cunningham of the Waifs who talked about the group’s fourth album due in January. “The next album is more of a return to the core of The Waifs sound; featuring more of the acoustic guitars, harmonies and harmonica,” Cunningham explained. “Our last record was quite produced and we put a lot of extra instruments on it, so it deviated a bit from the typical Waifs sound. With this album we’re returning to that more rootsy, more acoustic kind of sound.” Beat.com.au has since removed the article.
