While music writers compare The Strokes to Nirvana, drummer Fabrizio Moretti doesn’t think the group is that good or important. “It seems like an honor. But at the same time, it’s kind of an obstacle in our way,” Fab told Dough Elfman of The Las Vegas Review Journal. “I don’t think we’re half as big as Nirvana was, and I’m pretty sure we’re still working on being as good.
