The Strokes Play It Cool – Too Cool
Mac Randall of The New York Daily News was on hand for The Strokes concert Wednesday at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. He writes, “For most of the band’s hour-long set, singer Julian Casablancas took cool to a ridiculous extreme. His performance was so stripped of energy that it seemed he might fall asleep at any minute.” Randall added, “It’s hard to stay enthusiastic about music when the people making it appear so set on underwhelming.
