Lyndsey Parker of Launch.com caught up with The D4 co-frontmen Dion Palmer and Jimmy Christmas and asked if the group felt they fit in with the garage rock “movement” and bands like the Strokes, White Stripes, the Vines, and The Hives. “Well, it’s easy for people to lump those bands you mentioned together because they all play rock ‘n’ roll, but I would say that the similarity between all of those bands is that they all have the same record collections,” Dion said. “That would be about it. That’s why we wanted to go overseas, so we can meet people and talk about records that we like, ’cause there’s not a lot of people at home that we have lots in common with that we can talk about records that we dig. It’s cool meeting these people.”
