The Donnas road to success began way back in eigth grade, when they in plugged in together at Junior High and even kicked ass at talent shows. But as singer Brett Anderson says in the June issue of Revolver, back then “people treated us like we were freaks, or aliens… People said ‘go home and play with your dolls’.” The Donnas took that frustration into their rooms, and got to work. “We would come home from school every day and practice. That was pretty much it.” Those bonds formed in their formative years are what set the band apart today. As Brett continues, “I think the fact that we’re actually friends is what makes us different than other bands.”
