The Donnas’ Robertson Reacts To Kelly Johnson’s Death

The Donnas guitarist Allison Robertson posted the following bulletin to fans on the band’s Myspace on Wednesday (July 18) in reaction to the death of former Girlschool guitarist Kelly Johnson, who had been suffering from spinal cancer:

Dear Friends,

I am very, very sad to have learned that Kelly Johnson, original guitarist of Girlschool, has passed away. She is my hero and means more to me than I could ever begin to express with words. We should celebrate Kelly and her many accomplishments and hope that she is in a better and peaceful place now. I will always hold her dear in my heart and her memory will always be my main inspiration. I love you Kelly.
