The Darkness’ efforts to crack America are being undermined by Wal-Mart’s refusal to carry their ‘Permission To Land’ album because the sleeve features a woman’s bottom. Bassist Frankie Poullain told Radio 1, “Our album is selling well but Wal-Mart won’t stock it because of the woman’s bum. We’ll just re-shoot it and turn the naked woman round so they see the front instead.”
