The Darkness Are Drugs And Groupie Free
The Daily Star reports The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins doesn’t have the inclination to indulge in rock star behavior, resolutely saying ‘no’ to any drug use. “It’s not the ’80s anymore, it’s 2004, and if we’re going to maintain the kind of momentum we’ve got, we really can’t afford to get totally ruined by drugs,” Hawkins explained. As for that other rock star indulgence — groupies — he expressed similar thoughts. “We just haven’t got the time to maximize all the groupie opportunities,” he said.
