Taking Back Sunday Don’t Forget Their Roots

Despite Taking Back Sunday’s success, they haven’t forgotten their humble roots in the New York punk scene. “We’re very proud of where we come from – Long Island – and I’ve been involved in that scene for over 17 years and everyone knows me and everyone respects me,” guitarist Ed Reyes tells Australia’s Time Off magazine of the band’s old stomping ground. “It’s a blessing to know that everyone was proud of us and behind us. Even though we hit the mainstream they still come to our shows and when we go home we’re welcomed and it’s a good feeling.”
