You Am I Return After Lengthy Break

Bassist Andy Kent spoke with Time Off about the four years which passed since the last You Am I studio album, the longest wait between albums since their inception as a band. “We had the ‘Best Of’ album as a release a couple of years ago,” Kent said. “After we got out of the BMG deal, rather than diving into it straight away, Tim wanted to do a solo record, and everyone else had some things that they wanted to do. A couple of years went by where we started businesses, played in other bands, played on people’s records and all that sort of thing. We all got that out of out system until the time felt right and we went for it.” The article at timeoff.com.au has since been removed.
