Rockers Gravitate To ‘Lost’

Yellowcard frontman Ryan Key tells AOL Music the band have become addicted to the ABC series ‘Lost’. “Dude! We became obsessed,” Key admitted. “The night Shannon died on ‘Lost,’ we were at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey, standing on the bus, getting our guitars on.”

Lillix To Join Yellowcard On Tour

Lillix, famous for the Acuvue contact-lens ad, are set to join Yellowcard on their tour next month. “That’s how everybody knows them,” frontman Ryan Key tells AOL Music in reference to the commercial. “Their new record was done by the guy who did the Killers’ album. People are like, ‘Ooh, they’re teeny- girly pop,’ but the new stuff is way better than the stuff they’ve done in the past.”

Kelly Clarkson & Ryan Key Join Metal Skool Onstage

A drunken Kelly Clarkson of ‘American Idol’ fame joined by her apparent boyfriend Ryan Key of Yellowcard, got on stage with the infamous Metal Skool on the Sunset Strip the other night, drinking whisky straight from the bottle before performing the Guns N’ Roses hit ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’. Yellowcard Postpone Gigs, Singer Due For Throat Surgery

On Monday (April 24), YC’s label, Capitol Records, released a statement saying Yellowcard has been forced to postpone a string of early summer gigs because Ryan Key has been diagnosed with a cyst on his vocal cords, an ailment that requires surgery. “We’re disappointed to be postponing these dates, but it’s a relief to know the source of the problems I’d been having with my voice,” Key said in the statement. “And it’s much better to confront it now [rather] than later when it could be more serious. We’ll be back on the road in June when we can give 100 percent.” Read more.

Yellowcard Visit San Diego’s FM 94.9

Halloran of FM 94.9 in San Diego talked to Yellowcard in-studio before their April 18th SOMA show. They talked about the growth the band had on the sophomore album, played some of the band’s favorite music, making up a female named “Holly” while constructing songs, the album artwork, and more.
