We Are Scientists Explain Who ‘Barbara’ Is

We Are Scientists spoke with ITN earlier this month about backstage nerves ahead of their mainstage show, margaritas and new album ‘Barbara’ at the Isle of Wight Festival. “She’s a philosopher, she’s a lover, she’s a fighter when she needs to be,” bassist Chris Cain explained about who this “Barbara” is. “She’s motherly. She could be your sister. She could be a cop. She could dress that way in a bedroom.” Watch the interview via YouTube below.

She knows the well is magic because it smells like Axe, and so she nervously calls three desperate wishes into its still black depths. Watch the video below.

Spinto Band’s Hughes Gathers Dirt On We Are Scientists

Thomas Hughes of Spinto Band took part in a Q&A with Popworld.com, where he was asked whether he had any outrageous tour stories. “I’ve accumulated a lot of information on We Are Scientists,” Hughes said, referring to the Brooklyn band they’ve been touring with. “We could actually put it into a file, the amount of dirt we have on them. But I don’t want to disdain their character at all, I believe they’re going to do it themselves [laughs].” The transcript at popworld.com has since been removed.
