This Providence Releases New Single ‘Trouble’, ‘Brier’ EP Follows

This Providence 'Trouble'

Seattle, Washington’s This Providence has self-released a new single, ‘Trouble’, and will be dropping a new EP titled ‘Brier’ on May 1st. Check out a stream of the new single via Purevolume.com below and purchase the track at iTunes.

The ‘Brier’ EP marks This Providence’s first effort since 2009’s ‘Who Are You Now’, and since parting ways with their former label, Fueled By Ramen.

Brier was produced by Matt Grabe (The Maine, A Rocket To The Moon, The Summer Set) and will be released via the band’s new imprint Magic Mike Records. Pre-orders for the ‘Brier’ EP are at shopbenchmark.com.

Originally formed in the suburbs of Seattle in 2003 by Australian-born vocalist Daniel Young and guitarist Gavin Phillips, the band’s current lineup also features bassist David Blaise and drummer Andy Horst.

As Young explained in a statement to Altpress.com last month, “I cannot wait to release these gems. If you live in the States, chances are we’ll be playing somewhere close to you. If not, change your definition of close. I’ll be spending the next two months with four other overly sensitive musicians, in an unpretentious, American-made, 15-passenger van, driving thousands of miles all over this liberated piece of dirt! Why don’t you come out and return the favor? Show us a little enthusiasm! We’re looking to make our mark in music, things feel different. It’s exciting. Don’t wish us luck, be a part of this.”
