Tom Conrad Checks In From The Midwest

The Academy Is… guitarist Tom Conrad posted the following message on the band’s official website on Saturday (March 18): “The Midwest, oh I’ve missed you. One week left of the Truckstops & Statelines Tour. It feels like we have been on tour forever. We still must leave the country again before we can start what this band has been longing for. I must say though, I am very excited for Japan. Backbeat, the word is on the street that some radio stations are doing us the favor by playing ‘Slow Down’. Call in and request it if you got some extra time on your hands. Let us know as well if you’re hearing ‘Slow Down’ getting played as well. Anyways, it was brought to my attention about a Livejournal community for all of our friends in the UK. Amazing. Whomever contributed to the LJ ‘Black Mamba’ music video that was made and given to us, thank you. it was perfect. PS. acceptance, we love you like family. Two bands you need to check out. The Snake the Cross the Crown This Is Me Smiling”
