Corey Taylor Did Demos With Velvet Revolver, But It Didn’t Work Out
Corey Taylor breaks his silence on what really happened when it comes to the rumor he’d join Velvet Revolver. “I had a meeting with those guys,” the Slipknot/Stone Sour singer told Altitude TV. “We did some demos together and it just didn’t work for whatever reason. It was just really cool. It was just one of those things where I got to jam with legends. It was cool. I still know those guys. I still hang out with them. Slipknot Announce 10th Anniversary Special Edition Box Set
Slipknot posted a YouTube clip announcing plans for their 10th Anniversary Special Edition of their self titled release. The box set will include the first album, “a bunch of deep cuts from the vault”, a DVD which features footage of the band in 1999 and 2000 and “a bunch of secrets.” Watch the video below.

Clown Of Slipknot Backstage At Download 2009
Kerrang! Podcast host Simon Young spoke with Clown of Slipknot ahead of their headline slot at Saturday’s Download 2009 festival at Donington Park. Clown talked about having the full set, lasting ten years so far, various injuries he receives on stage, what’s next for the band, and wanting to spend less time off this time before making the next record. Slipknot Fans Eat Rotting Crow In A Jar
What will the craziest Slipknot fan do for their band? Sid Wilson had the answer, telling Altitude TV that they once had a dead crow in a jar “fermenting” for months and removed the lid on stage. After smelling the decomposed bird, fans asked them to give the jar to the audience, prompting some of the maggots to stick their hands in the jar and eat the rotting animal. Slipknot Canadian Tour YouTube Announcement
Slipknot announced their Canadian tour dates with an announcement on their YouTube channel. “Canada, we are starting on one side and coming to the other,” Corey Taylor said in the clip. “Be ready. Spread the word. From Quebec and Montreal, to Toronto and London, you will hear the sound of this band, and there is nothing, nothing you can do about it.” Watch it below.
Corey Taylor And Clown Discuss Slipknot Tour, Album
Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Clown visited Fuse’s ‘No.1 Countdown’, talking about their current tour, their album ‘All Hope Is Gone’ getting to #1, ten years of work paying off, how 10 years on the success has been surreal for them, and the decision to tour with Coheed and Cambria. “In the past, we were kind of hooked up with different bands and whatnot, but our whole vision has always been to put together a tour like we’ve been going to. It wasn’t just a bunch of cookie cutter bands, from the same genre, and you couldn’t tell who was on stage. You didn’t know who was playing, because it all sounded the same. For us, it was more important to put together something that represented us as a band and represented how ecclectic our tastes are and how we feel about our fans.
