Scott Weiland 'I'll Be Home For Christmas' music video
Scott Weiland has released an official video for ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’, the second single from his new holiday album, ‘The Most Wonderful Time of the Year’. The Stone Temple Pilots singer shared in his liner notes that many of the songs were first written and recorded in times of strife, and that their messages are just as relevant now to troops serving overseas. The sepia-toned video pays tribute to this concept and stars Weiland in vintage military uniform, accompanied by footage of troops being reunited with loved ones. The song follows up the release of ‘Winter Wonderland’, Weiland’s tribute to Bing Crosby’s timeless version.

Scott Weiland

August Brown of the LA Times was on hand for Scott Weiland’s holiday concert at the El Rey Theatre on Wednesday night (December 7), where the Stone Temple Pilots singer performed songs from his ‘The Most Wonderful Time of the Year’ album.

Brown said “it might have been the most surreal night of music in Los Angeles all year”, adding that “the absolute straight-facedness of the set gave it a stratospheric level of bizarre.” Read more and watch a highlight clip of his ‘Winter Wonderland’ performance below.

Scott Weiland ‘Winter Wonderland’ Video

Scott Weiland 'The Most Wonderful Time of the Year' album cover

Two-time Grammy winner Scott Weiland just debuted his new, retro-inspired video for ‘Winter Wonderland’, which finds the Stone Temple Pilots frontman channeling the signature sound that Bing Crosby brought to the song nearly 50 years ago. The song is the first release from his new Christmas album ‘The Most Wonderful Time of the Year’. Watch the ‘Winter Wonderland’ video below.

The inception of the album began two years ago when Weiland first performed ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ on ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno’. The singer says Frank Sinatra’s legendary 1957 recording of the song, which featured a full orchestra, inspired his take on this sentimental favorite. ‘The Most Wonderful Time of the Year’ also features timeless holiday standards such as ‘The Christmas Song’, ‘White Christmas’, and ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’.

The album is available now in stores and on all digital retail outlets. More details are available at ScottWeiland.com.
