Gwen Stefani of No Doubt checked in with fans on her official website the other day, and revealed possible plans for a solo album. “I have been working super hard on my L.A.M.B. clothing line. I think you will start to hear more about it and see it soon,” she posted. “It has been a total blast and a lot of work but it has also been a real cool creative outlet. I have also looked at some scripts and, although I really haven’t made a decision yet, if the right part were to come along I think I would try working in film. I have always had a real love for making videos and the filmmaking No Doubt did. Who knows? I think it might be another challenging place to express myself creatively. I have also been collaborating on some tracks on my own with different people. I am not quite sure if it will become a full-blown solo project, singles for a soundtrack or just songs (like with Moby and Eve). I am just kind of letting it take me where it takes me and see what happens. It is all part of a process for me, sort of an extension of the challenge No Doubt gave ourselves on ‘Rock Steady.’ I want to explore all of this during the No Doubt hiatus. We’ll see where it takes me!”
Rolling Stone magazine did a Q&A with John Mayer and asked him who is the hottest female rocker. “Oh, my God, Gwen Stefani,” he said. “I was late on the SS Stefani. I didn’t make it to the dock in time. But now I’m on it big-time.” Reminded that he was still too late now that the No Doubt singer has married Gavin Rossdale of Bush, Mayer replied, “That’s OK. I’m on it. She’s the perfect combination of bulldog and daisy. Absolutely amazing. She has a sweetness to her that never leaves, even when she’s crawling around the stage like a spider. I don’t even mean it in a “Boy, would I want to bang Gwen Stefani” way. But I sure would want to grab her ass.”
Gwen Stefani of No Doubt told RollingStone.com backstage at the Grammy Awards on Sunday: “Our goal was never to be successful. We were working, we were in school and we did the band because it was fun. So my advice wouldn’t be to go for ‘it,’ since we were never about going for anything.”

We really need to thank Jimmy Ivy for all his support for all these years, Mark Williams, everyone at Introscope Records. Everyone at Rebel Waltz. Linda Lapotino. Gavin Rossdale for marrying me, where did he go? And everybody that supported us over the last 16 years, thank you so much. It means so much to us, I’m going to cry, I’ll see you later.”
