Locksley made an appearance at ‘Indy Style’ on WISH 8 television in Indianapolis the other day. Frontman Jesse Laz introduced his bandmates and talked about the band being from Madison, Wisconsin and based in New York City and getting ‘The Whip’ featured on the ‘Puss in Boots’ trailer. “That song that they use is that we’ll play,” Jesse said. “It has so many uses, it can connect to so many people and the idea is as many people as can hear it, let them hear it.” The interview and ‘The Whip’ performance at wishtv.com has since been removed.

LimeWire Music Blog spoke with Jesse and Jordan Laz of Locksley and their dad for Father’s Day, asking the brothers what fatherly advice helped the two out along their way. “Brighten your corner. That’s something he said, you know, ‘Leave the world a little better than you found it,'” they responded. “Also, he said, ‘Find this generation’s beat and you’ll be huge’, or something like that. We’re still looking for it.”
