Klaxons Happy With Noel Gallagher Diss

The Sun’s Something For The Weekend spoke with Klaxons frontman Jamie Reynolds, keyboardist James Righton, and guitarist Simon Taylor about their reaction to Oasis singer Noel Gallagher’s remark that he wasn’t a fan after seeing them play in Ibiza. “It was an awful gig for us, I agree,” James conceded. “But I have one band for Noel Gallagher — Proud Mary. Exactly.” Jamie added, “That was the most exciting thing to happen all year. Yes, more than signing a big record deal even. Nothing touched me more than Noel Gallagher saying he didn’t like us. He is the establishment and you can’t get any better than the establishment taking a dislike to you. I really thought that’s when we had arrived as he had spent time and given their thought to NOT liking you.” James joked, “We’ll be sending him a copy of the album with a little note. He’ll like it.” The transcript at thesun.co.uk has since been removed.
