Kid Rock premiered the first single ‘First Kiss’ from his Top Dog / Warner Bros. Records album of the same name today with a new music video and the song shipping to radio. The album, which comes out February 24th, marks his first on Warner Bros. Records.
On New Years Day, fans were asked to post their New Years first kiss photos using #KidRockFirstKiss. A selection of these photos were used to create a teaser video with a clip of the song ‘First Kiss’. The fan who posted our favorite photo was sent the official music video for ‘First Kiss’ to debut on their personal Twitter account this morning. That fan was Cissy Bishop, or @_cissymae, and she premiered the video this morning.

Kid Rock held a show for 5,000 people in Detroit to help raise money for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Fox 47 News was at the Fox Theatre, grabbing a few highlights from the show that met their goal to raise $1 million during last weekend’s event. The money will help fund DSO performances at schools, churches, retirement communities, nursing homes and other venues in Southeast Michigan. Watch the Fox 47 News report via YouTube below.
Kid Rock has signed on to open the 2011 Sprint Cup Series Awards Ceremony on December 2nd at the Wynn Las Vegas, where the recording artist will perform his song ‘Born Free’, the title track off his latest album. The 40-year-old joins Reba McEntire among the performers at the annual event. McEntire will be hosting the ceremony. The ceremony will broadcast by SPEED, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio and MRN Radio (9 p.m. ET) from the Wynn’s LaFite Ballroom.

The Detroit rocker celebrated the day with a sell-out concert at Ford Field on Saturday, which featured guests that included Rev Run, Sheryl Crow and Uncle Kracker. The Mirror reports Kid Rock slammed Jennifer Hudson and Coldplay at the MusiCares charity event. “Who’s Jennifer Hudson? The fat girl,” Rock asked after the Oscar winner’s performance, perhaps unaware the singer’s mother, brother and nephew had recently been murdered.
As for Coldplay, Rock said it their set was “was absolutely crap” and “the sh**iest fu**ing performance I have seen in a long time.”
