NME talked to Laurent “Lags” Barnard from Gallows at Leeds festival 2010 after playing a secret show under the name ‘The Rats’. “The reason we’re playing under the name The Rats was because we did the Lock Up Stage twice in a row a few years ago, and the year after that we did the Radio 1 stage, which was a lot of fun, but for us there’s so many of our friends who played the stage,” Lags explained. “It’s a cool place to hang out and really that’s the main reason. It was the only way we could get to play it without any big contractual obligations, be it one thing or another. We’re just here to chill out, have fun.” Watch the interview via YouTube below.
