Drowning Pool’s Video Response To Bill O’Reilly

Drowning Pool with Barack Obama

Drowning Pool are unhappy with 'The O'Reilly Factor' host Bill O'Reilly's remarks that he is one of only two "celebrities" to support the troops via the USO. The group said in a press release, "This is simply (and sadly, typically) absolutely false. A number of musical artists, actors and comedians have done troop tours via the USO, including Drowning Pool, who have visited the troops and performed for them on three separate occasions. Additionally, the band have donated a portion of all of their U.S. tour revenues to the USO and to other causes that support the troops." Drowning Pool Blast ‘True Waste Of Air’ Bill O’Reilly

Drowning Pool

An unspecified member of Drowning Pool checked in with fans on the band's blog at MySpace on Tuesday (December 4) after claims from Fox News Channel pundit Bill O'Reilly criticized the USO for having few celebrities visit the troops in Afghanistan. The message reads:
I have chewed on this whole Bill O'Reilly blasting the USO subject for some time now trying to decide what aspect of this jack asses empty rants I wanted to shoot holes in first. What I have finally realized is that it's pointless to even start on this and point out every single sh**head aspect of this self promoting, self [righteous] poster child for birth control. He blasts the USO. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? The only reason this sh**head even went over was to promote his new book. If you have the time go to YOUTUBE and search Kieth Olbermann USO Bill O'Reilly and hear the facts please do. I'm not even going on any more with this. The fact is O'Reilly thinks he is above the truth and you can't argue with that kind of a person. Here is a group like the USO that for years upon years have given of themselves to do good by others that put themselves in harms way in the name of OUR country and this sh**head decides he can just say what he wants and stack lie upon lie and attack anyone he wishes. So to Billdoe and his mindless sheep of an audience go fu** yourself. You are a true waste of air... To wrap this up I would like to say one last thing. Your such a true patriot Bill aren't you? So supportive of our troops aye? That must be why you ignored the "This Is For The Soldiers.org" mission when your people were contacted on the matter. Wait I'm sorry this is about headlines NOW isn't it. Yea I forgot about the whole NEW BOOK to promote angle. Sad sad man you are.

Drowning Pool’s Equipment Stolen In Dallas

Drowning Pool

Drowning Pool bassist Stevie Benton spoke with Dallas/Forth Worth's CBS 11 after the band were victimized by thieves who stole their equipment over the Thanksgiving holiday. The band's equipment was stored at Universal Rehearsal in North Dallas, and the thieves were caught on tape. "It's not the way I wanted to kick off my holiday, that's for sure," Benton said. "We're just a struggling rock band on the road making a living. We don't have $10,000 in the bank to run to the store or guitar center and replace all this stuff." Watch a report at cbs11tv.com.

Meanwhile, singer Ryan McCombs' thoughts on the matter probably couldn't have made it onto the television airwaves. "This Thanksgiving is special though this one started out with a couple fu** nuts breaking into the DP rehearsal spot in Dallas and stealing a bunch of our sh**," McCombs fumed in a posting on the Dallas band's MySpace blog. "The day before Thanksgiving. AWESOME!!! I think being a thief is the closest thing to the cowards that key cars. What's the mentality there??? 'I DON'T HAVE THAT BUT I WANT IT, FU** IT,... I'LL TAKE YOURS!!' You know what?? Die you worthless pile of flesh. Get a fu**ing job, save up and buy your own. Like the person did that your stealing from. It's really damn close to that fu** face that has a problem with you so instead of being a human being about it and facing you strait up they take a rock or key to your vehicle."
