Blabbermouth.net reports Adema have parted ways with guitarist Mike Ransom. No reason was given for his departure. The group, who recently completed a U.S. tour with Godsmack, have already played five headlining shows as a four-piece and have no plans at this time to seek a replacement second guitarist.
Rock acts on television this week include the Music, who perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday; the Donnas, who appear on The View on Monday; Adema, who perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday; Sum 41, who perform on Late Night with Conan O’Brien on Wednesday; Thrice, who perform on the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn on Thursday; and Everclear, who perform on Late Night on Thursday.
Adema is set to release their latest album ‘Unstable’ on August 19th, 2003. The new video for the single ‘Unstable’ is out now and fans can check it out online below.

Steve Morse of the Boston Globe spoke with several musicians on the Ozzfest tour to get their first memories of Ozzy Osbourne. Kris Kohls, drummer with Adema said, “I remember seeing pictures of Ozzy and being scared of him. However, when I got a little older, I was a runner for Ozzy at a show in Bakersfield. That was about five years ago. I had to go and buy plants and a humidifier for Ozzy’s dressing room. I was able to meet him and shake hands with him … and now I’m not so scared.” Boston.com has since removed the article.
Adema’s Marky Chavez spoke with Ann Sosnowski of UniverCity on how the band’s life has changed following getting signed by a major label. Chavez said, “I’d say the biggest change is adjusting to the way we live — living in buses and traveling from hotel to venue to venue and getting along with other bands — that seems pretty easy because we’re nice people, so we’re really approachable and we’ve made good friends. We’ve made really good friends with Cypress Hill and Linkin Park and on this Project Evolution Tour that we’re on right now. It’s been great.”
The Lycos 50 is featuring Adema as their ‘One to Watch’ after the group’s internet popularity, particularly on Lycos, has spiked since the band was featured inthe search engine’s Lycos Music division commercials. The promise of Adema downloads has caused searches for the group to have quadrupled in the last two weeks.

Launch.com reports Adema canceled its appearance at tonight’s Projekt Revolution date in Lowell, Massachusetts and tomorrow’s show in Fairfax, Virginia due to what a spokesperson for the band called a “family emergency.” Headliners Linkin Park are still scheduled to play these dates. A spokesperson for the band wouldn’t elaborate on the reason calling it ‘personal’.
