Death+Taxes caught up with Surfer Blood singer JP Pitts about how the band is on the upswing and how things have changed since their last visit to New York. “Every band in New York City knows who we are right now because no one wanted to play with us when we first came there,” JP explained, adding that the band sent out over 500 emails when Surfer Blood was self-booking its first two tours. “One in five would get back to us, and that would usually be a no.” Read more.
