Sum 41’s Stevo32 Says Drugs Should Be Legal

Scott Mervis of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette spoke with drummer Steve “Stevo32” Jocz, who has some controversial views on drugs. “Drugs should be legal,” Jocz says, “though if you do them, you should do them responsibly. We don’t do them all the time. We just have a bender every now and then. Just make sure you don’t get caught with them. Because the laws are getting really severe, which is stupid, cause it doesn’t have anything to do with safety. If they were really concerned with drugs that were dangerous, they’d outlaw cigarettes, which kill like 400,000 Americans a year. I don’t encourage kids to do drugs. If they don’t want to do drugs, that’s great. But if we happen to do them, then that’s fine. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.” Read more.
