Stinson Says Guns N’ Roses Album May Be Out Early 2004

Guns N’ Roses bassist Tommy Stinson told the Boston Phoenix that after next weekend’s gig in the town’s Middle East venue — the final date of his solo tour — he will rejoin Axl Rose and company for what he says is the last bit of work on the group’s long-awaited new album, ‘Chinese Democracy’. “There’s definitely a record, and it’s definitely close to being done,” he said. “And Axl’s been super supportive [of me doing my own stuff in the meantime]. So hopefully the G N’ R album will be out early in the New Year, and my [solo] album will come out in February or March, and then I’ll have all this new music to promote. Y’know, I’m pretty lucky with all this.”
