Stapp Blasts MTV For ‘Lack Of Media Integrity’

Creed frontman Scott Stapp spoke to ABC Radio’s ePrep to fume over recent stories from MTV questioning the injuries he suffered in an auto accident last month. Stapp said, “For them to throw a spin and try to create some kinda controversy just so shows the lack of humanity, the lack of, of media integrity, to find out both sides of the story.” MTV declined comment, but was only one of several outlets that covered the police report item that said Stapp had received no injuries. Stapp described the accident saying, “I’d just forgotten to put my seat belt on and it [the impact of the crash] threw me into my steering wheel and my head hit the windshield.” Abcnews.go.com has since removed the article.
