Time Off magazine caught up with Something With Numbers, where frontman Jake Grigg discussed the band’s new single ‘Goodbye Mickey Finn’, which marks a continued progression from their punk origins. “Musically it’s the most different song we’ve ever done,” Grigg explained. “It’s a really stripped-back acoustic number and it’s the first song we’ve really used strings on. I think the biggest motivation for putting it out as a single was the fact that it’s so stripped-back and it’s such a vocal song. I think that people from our shows – from our grandma’s to my little kid – they all like it and it can reach such a broad audience.” The article at timeoff.com.au has since been removed.
