Slipnot Tears Up Congress Theater

Bob Gendron of the Chicago Tribune reviewed ’s performance at a sold-out Congress Theater on April 23rd. Gendron writes, “With matching black outfits and gruesome masks concealing each band member’s identity, Slipknot could easily be taken as a joke. But the nine musicians, five of whom often bobbed, marched and jumped like synchronized marionettes, created an imposing madhouse scene that resembled a riot squad run amok. And Slipknot’s unique three-person percussion attack provided its hard-core metal with enviable machinelike speed and aggression.” Chicagotribune.com has since removed the article.
