are set to play the Big Day Out festival at the Gold Coast Parklands later this month and frontman Corey Taylor spoke with Time Off magazine about touring in Australia. “It is probably my favorite tour that I’ve been on, besides Ozzfest 2004,” he said of the band’s previous visit to the country. “I’d waited my whole life to go to Australia and when I got down there it was just everything I’d hoped it would be and more.” Taylor remembered Australia’s most appealing attributes with ease. “It was the kids and the weather,” he said. “We’d done Europe and while it wasn’t a letdown, as far as the kids go, it was just really grey. I remember hanging out with a lot of the kids that came to the shows, probably getting them in a lot of trouble! I just have a lot of really great memories from that time and I can’t wait to get down there again.”
