Rzeznik Says There’s Not Enough Straight Out Rock

Johnny Rzeznik and his Goo Goo Dolls currently are on the third leg of their U.S. tour for their Gutterflowers album. “We did the whole hoopey doopey rock concert thing this summer, and now we’re getting down to work, just playing some rock ‘n roll,” Rzeznik tells TV Guide Online. “There’s not enough straight-out rock shows anymore. It’s either punk bands with elaborate stage shows or the choreographed dance thing with stuff blowing up and people flying around.
