Rob Thomas Won’t Ever Abuse His Power

Tom Lanham of the San Francisco Examiner reports the biggest lesson frontman Rob Thomas has learned from selling 16 million albums, he says, “is that celebrity is such a power, and the bigger you get, the more power you wield.” Thomas vows he will never abuse it. “I see artists like Bono and Pearl Jam, who are so intent and sincere about what they do, and they make us feel like we’ve gotta do even more now,” Thomas said. “We’ve gotta give as much of ourselves as we possibly can.” Examiner.com has since removed the article.
