Richard Patrick Says He’s Making The ‘Definitive’ Filter Album

Filter frontman Richard Patrick posted a new message to the group’s official web site. He says, “Sorry I haven’t posted in awhile but the only thing I’ve been doing lately is working on the new record. It’s just me, Rae and my assistant engineer, Jef, in the studio every day. I’ve been making music that will definitely turn out to be the definitive Filter record. I’m really enjoying writing everything by myself too. It reminds me of when I lived in Rocky River and I did the first record with Brian, my former producer. These songs have the best elements of all three previous records, but with the mental clarity that I have now, there are some super honest lyrics. Speaking of work I can’t sit here on this god damn computer anymore, I gotta get back to playing…. Goodbye.”
