R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck phoned in to Gene Stout of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer to preview the band’s performance tonight at Bumbershoot at Memorial Stadium. Buck says, “We’ve learned like 80 songs, so we can change the set a lot every night. Every time we tour, we go back and listen to all our CDs and pick out songs that we haven’t done in a while. We consciously decided to do some things that we maybe stopped playing in 1985, 1986 or 1987.” Read more.
